Don't do it, then we will look like such idiots riding the same bike  people might think we are on a team

But then people would think you're as awesome as I am! It's a win-win.

Hahaha! I think it's a Euro thing. The boys show up in their best pajamas on bikes that cost as much as cars. They talk about adding 2 clicks rebound and adjusting the tyre pressure for the trail conditions, and about how much time they spent in the gym during winter.

Then they hold you up on the trail.

Super_mil, you going to do this?

I think you can after doing KK road gap...

I dunno... Will assess and decide once we're there. We've got plenty riding to do. I'm more psyched to go and find 'The Chute of Death' (it's some where on the lower super Morzine side & may not actually be called 'The Chute of Death', but it's super steep) and to try and ride that whole thing without getting spat off like last time. And all the other off piste trails that we only found on the latter half of our last trip.

Just handed in my bike at the shop for boxing. It's official now!!!

Oh, and I may have tripped on the way out and bought a TLD A1 as a pre-trip gift

Whatt....no riding for 10 days! You have a spare bike?

This trip is finally happening!

Bumped into some people who just come back from a weeks riding in Chatel. They couldn't stop waxing lyrical about it.

Last tweaks to bikes - bigger rotors and heavy duty tyres - to happen this weekend. Box lined up.

Acquired full face helmet, knee and elbow pads. Full face is a bit snug, but probably better that way. All I need is some goggles.

One more thing: body armour - who's wearing it, and what do you wear?

Elbow guards, used, abused, work!

helmet gloves kneepads goggles. Pack full of water that I'm convinced is a back Protector.

The best body armor of all is an acute knowledge of your own limits.

I've been battling with a VERY sick dog the last 2 weeks. Add to that the building in Tokai so it's all last minute dot com for me this trip. only got insurance today. forex and last bike tweak is tomorrow. Saturday is haircut day and pick up meds & other bits.

Just remember you said it. Only kidding. Besides the way your luck seems to run you're sure to get mowed over by a truck.

Ok do it, but then you have to run single crown  and you can teach me how to ride.

Sold the Fox last week, so no single crown left. Also started making the Giant all pretty again last night, so I'll take that.

Amazing what 5 minutes, a brush and some Muc-Off can do.

I don't **** around. If I can't work, I'm not getting paid.

Usual getup is a BrandX Suit from CRC along with IXS Hammer Knee/Shin combo. Fullface is some carbon jobby, can't remember which, but it's fugly.

No one will make fun of you for wearing too much armour. Unless you're commuting with a fullface, then I'll laugh at you.
