Fountains are so dangerous, you can't even pass the entrace without going faster... I've heard that there might be sluip slapers in groenies, they use the fence between the houses and groenies as an easy escape route for stealing. Don't know if it is true but it is a rumour...

The big red barn is also great!!

The big red barn is not safe IMO..... Once you riding on the out skirts of the trails you are as good as riding alone in the veldt. They say there are security guards patrolling the are but I'm still not convinced.

Yaaa man but think of it this way how are they gonna keep the place in good condition without any funds but I do agree some of the. Sections that doesn't get. A lot of riders. Is a bit under maintained but the dirt jumps zombie birdhouse and. The harder. Sections are well maintained and mainly because. The dirt jumpers maintain the dirt jumps. But enjoy the riding

Some good **** you been smoking   :whistling:

Yip! It is very dangerous! I would ride on weekends when there are a lot of people riding there or as a group with cycle lab or friends.

Don't know if you guys know the area but Midstream recently opened a new road, and that new road is a "short cut" for the people from Tembisa, because they walk through the bushes to save on TaXi money

I rode Fountains and Groenkloof on Monday.

I can't say that I felt "unsafe" in Fountains, but it seems it is following the PWC suit...

...ie. little to no trail maintenance. There are trees that have fallen across certain trails that look like they've been there for months.

As for the Groenkloof side. That seems to be the same as always, so no issues there.

I ride there quite often, most of the time alone, and i am yet to see any vagrants around. has anyone had any incidents there in the past?

There is no fence between the trail and main tar road, as you start your way back to the barn at the end of a loop. Just a matter of time before something happens there. Easy getaway for a perp on the main road.

rode that part once, and decided not to go way around again. I heard a rumor a couple of weeks ago about a cycle park opening between rigel ave and the N1. any more news about that?

Oh yes, Tool Up Cycles midstream helped with the building, they say it will open at the end of the month, but not sure. You can ask for Frikkie, think he is on Thehub aswel he know about everything there.
