Hi guys,

We've decided to hold a mid-month build day, in order to concentrate efforts on getting Cobra cleaned up. Normal time - Saturday 19th @ 1pm at the gate. Bring water, gloves and any spade / pick / axe that you may have at hand.

This trail is gonna be EPIC.

A sturdy metal garden rake is also a very useful trailbuilding tool

Almost better than a spade, IMHO

Only shortcomings are that they don't build jumps and they don't chop roots off.

They're really useful for clearing new lines of debris and shaping cool berms though.

Which is why my favourite tool of all is a.... McLeod. Chop / rake / cut / stamp / shape.

The second best tool after a diligently applied brain! Well, some brains anyhow!

How much does a Mcleod cost locally?

You can get them locally from lasher. I've never seen one in a shop.

Haven't seen them locally (edit: In a store, that is. As Omega says, Lasher show them on their website). But we (Crow, Pain or Shine & I) plan to fabricate our own.

Well, truly, Pain or Shine just gives his broken one (the pole broke off) to Crow and says "jump"

He produces a few, and hey presto!

Can Crow make extras? I would love to have one of my own - for maintaining our little secret dual slalom track on the farm. Promise I won't build anything illegal, Scouts honour!

There's a dude on Military road that made me a ramp for my dirt bike. I planned on getting him to make me one. Just make a template out of cardboard and take it to him to fabricate.
