Luckily my LBS had a chair for me to sit on when they quoted me R950 for 6 grams of carbon! That is the replacement quote from Shimano for an XTR cage plate. And the new one will probably break in the same spot.

Suddenly I'm scared of riding with mine. Being on an all-mountain bike the chances of smashing it on a rock is pretty big.

 

Oh well... Ill just replace it with an XT when that happens.

you should speak to Bogusone I'm sure he could build you a new plate for alot less. he is a wizz with carbon.

I always find it crazy how guys use XO, XX and XTR on like DH bikes. The **** costs so much money and one rock and its moertoe. Yeah, they are sponsored so guess that covers it.

 

No-one except sponsored riders should be using those three deraileurs. Unless you work for goverment.
