Since the Ironman thread was mixing it up with 70.3 talk I thought it makes sense to start a new thread just for the 70.3.

Makes it easier to follow accommodation suggestions, tips and chit chat.

So entries are selling fast, did mine today!!

Less that 800 left.....

Who is in already?

I'm in, my first one! But coming from only road racing. Ok with running, but swimming might be a problem...

Don't tress too much about the swim. It's 10% of the race. Focus on the running. It's all about the run....

I'm in. Will decide the evening after the race if I will do the full or not...

i did my first 70.3 and full IM this year, and I definately enjoyed the full IM a lot more than 70.3. But i guess I'm more of a "diesel engine" than a sprinter, so the full probably suits me better.

I'm also in.....cant wait for my fist 70.3 :D

Exited for the swim but worried about the 21k

The run course in EL is not as flat as in PE, so beware... :whistling:

Don't do it the evening of the race! you never feel like doing it again. but the day after you are up for it again!

I was on such a buzz this year after my first 70.3 I almost entered the full that night...

Respect the swim may be a more appropriate statement. Remember two fatalities this year (RIP). Do open water training, in some rough conditions if possible, train in your wetsuit as well. Dont underestimate a 2 km swim in difficult conditions.
