X9 Shifters with XT Brakes

Question:

 

At the moment i have xp shifters that are bolted directly to the brake levers.

I want to change to XT brakes, will the shifters be able to bolt onto the xt Levers?

X9 makes more sense, not sure about sram bolted to shimano though. I have xt bolted to xt but it looks different to the sram shifter clamps I had on my previous X9.

It sounds like you have Matchmaker clamps, which enable the two to come together, using minimal bar space and a single clamp. You will be able to order standard X9 clamps and then the XT brakes will fht next to the shifters, albeit seperately.
