I've recently aquired a Cotic BFe frame & want to build it with a single crank so I would like some of you single blade riders' input.

Which would be good value for money cranks?

I looked at the Shimano Zee, but I was hoping to find something a bit cheaper.

I do have a chain guide fitted, but can remove it as I want to go with a SLX clutch RD.

Thx.

J

Rather not remove chainguide

I have single saint on my enduro bike and SLX with washers for single blade on my OnOne hardtail. Both nice cranks, but Saint is just absolutely awesome and porn

Thanx for all the replies!

I had too much of an itch yesterday & built it up to be 3x10 (for now)

@ Thug: Isn't the inner ring (even if 28T) going to be way too small?

@Shaper: Single ring with bash then?

@ Braailegend: Wish I had the moolas for a decent crank like the Zee, but my Shova recently ruined (in a good way) my budget I had for cycling.

I heard the single rings like the wolfrings can be run without chainguide when paired with a clutch RD.

Well I do have the chainguide, so might as well use it when going single crank

Yes, the 28 will be too small but you can get 32 tooth that will fit.

Can use a bash guard and should I would have gone 1 x 10 :)

Wolf Chainring with no guide on 104BCD Cranksets...

Alternatively FRM Single Chainrings on 104BCD Cranksets but have to use chainguide.

Does the 3x10 shimano cranks have 104BCD?

Does the 3x10 shimano cranks have 104BCD?

If going single chainring then 104 is the middle ring and fits a shimano crank, and go 11/36 cassette
