I suppose it took the whole of the Roman army to clear the Spanish Steps of the usual hordes of tourists for that picture - or just 1 guy and Photoshop?

My bet - multiple shots of the same frame, stack them in PS and say "remove discrepancies" or whatever it is. That sends a command to the editor to remove anything that isn't the same or has moved in those pics, essentially making it as if it was a clear shot.

Interesting, sounds like some James Bond spy stuff. Would seem pretty apt as this car was built to compete with an Aston.

Nah, it's just a basic script that photoshop has as part of the editing suite. Photomerge Scene Cleaner is the name of the tool.
