My Giant Yukon FX frame has broken. I am a social rider and do not ride the bike hard, was out on a "Sunday stroll" when I thought my chain broke and got jammed but it was the frame.

Will I be able to claim this from Giant? Who do I contact?

Did you get the bike new? If so take it to the LBS you got it from, let them sort it out

Bought it brand new. It's been standing in the garage for a few years. Took the cobwebs off and round March and now this.

Take it back to the shop you bought it from together with the original invoice and let them sort out the warranty claim with the Giant agents (Dragon Sports). They are normally very good at this and they stand by the brand. Most of the higher end frames have a lifetime warranty for the original owner, but I don't know what the exact situation is w.r.t the Ukon frames. If Dragons replace the frame, then all it will cost you is to have the bikeshop transfer all your old components to the new frame and voila you have a new bike. If it isn't covered by the Giant warranty, then look at the classifieds for a good second hand frame, and try get a higher spec one for a decent price.

I have sent Dragons a message, will see what they come up with.

Is there any particular reason why the frame would break and is it common to break in that particular place?
