carbon paste?

have a plastic bike with a plastic seat post, if its not creaking, its slipping......any recommendations as to the best carbon paste to use or at least if it makes any difference as to which one you use?

no, not brand fussy, but maybe there is one that works better than others or you might have answered my question by saying they're all the same so I shouldn't worry what the shops supplies?

My alu pillar on steel frame was slipping at Modders so I pulled it out and Iron dusted sand all over it. Hasn't slipped since then.

 

Thats about as high tech as you need.

That won't be worth your while, it's costly and you use very little.

Truth be told, use some toothpaste. The "rougher" the better, not the smooth stuff.

Me - I firmly believe in alternate fixes but 5g of carbon assembly compound won't cost you much and as WyattDangleAnton says - it'll last you forever.

 

My dirt assembly compound will stay in situ until I need to change pillars then it'll get the real deal. I use carbon assembly compound on all my seat pillars (alu and carbon).

yum yum crunchy peanut butter...but make sure its the crunchy..the smooth does not work at all
