I bought a good quality bike on the Hub all looks good so far

it has new SLX brakes and levers, I noticed that the disc on the front is slightly loose, I am able to move it back and forth on the 6 pins minutely with a small click click sound.

is this normal or is it a wear and tear issue the previous owner said the bike only did 500KM

P.S ok photos attached,sorry

Tighten the bolts!!!

Shouldn't be loose but may have worked loose or possible wasn't tightened properly after the build.

Could be one of a thousand different things that caused it as long as you can tighten the bolts no harm no foul.

Is the disc attached to the hub with bolts? You mention 6 pins, so I am guessing its a 6 bolt disc attched to a center lock hub with an adapter, if that is the case, then slight movement is normal.

I think it is a center lock,The six bolts have no option to tighten them, looks like they are pressed closed or similar, But I don't think braking on these is a good idea.

As I am new to this I have no idea if the hub that holds this disc will need replacing, or if the movement will cause permmanent damage

Ooooh ok the pic clarifies the setup. Its a normal center lock disc (no adapter). So, if the movement is on the pins that hold the steel disc to the alu centre then its not normal. I would not ride like that.

Wait before you blow R190 unnecessarily, pop to your LBS(Local Bike Shop) and ask them to asses where the play is coming from. Unfortunately it's difficult to help you from a picture, Most likely to be the loose center lock, and if it is it will be a very quick fix.
