Please could someone tell me where the best place in CT would be to have my Fox Fork serviced ??

thanks

Fox agents are in CT, why not send it directly to them?

Any bike shop should be able to send it to them for you.

I would still send to Stoke ... I have sent a rear can to Omnico before and the waiting time was shocking (pardon the pun) ... Stoke do a good turn around time, they are passionate about their art (yes art, not trade) and can also accommodate some modifications that you might also be interested in should you want to play with the feel of your shocks.

Nice!

Are they only dealing with Fox or are they dealing with RS as well?

I agree. And I have to add....screw Omnico - poor service, poor stockholding.

I was wondering the same thing the other day so http://www.stokesusp...com/contact-us/ is now bookmarked for future reference if I need to have mine serviced.

:offtopic: Bit of a hijack but what about getting a service kit and DIY'ing it? What does a service actually entail, will youtube this in a bit? And what is the going rate for a service if I might ask if anyone knows?

I have serviced both my RS reba & Revs as well as my Fox Float forks.

Very easy to do.

Just make sure you do your homework beforehand so that you have all the right tools, oil, parts etc.

The (rear) shocks are about 1/2 hour job from stripping to fitment to the bike again.

Youtube is your friend.

Also check all the tech suport pages of the suspension companies.

If you are unsure of the damper service then by all means book a service at a shock repair centre.

+-750 for a basic routine service.

That's with the Sram agents in gauteng (for rockshox).

Is that for just 1 shock?

[EDIT]

I just youtubed the service procedure for my rear shock and it seems rather straight forward and the service kit for it costs like R 180.00 it would seem. http://www.buycycle....product_id=1657

Okay so this is the 30hour service then and it also seems a DIY straight forward one

Looking at my Fox Shock book I got with the bike these seem like the 30 hour maintenance jobs. Both front and rear have a 100 hour/annually service that is suspension fluid service for the rear stated as to be done by a FOX agent or Authorized center and the front depending on it being a FIT or Talas service of the damper iro FIT and service air spring iro Talas. I take it this is actually the service that you would take to these guys mentioned above and the rest you do yourself?
