But then on MotoMatters

* Front slick tyre allocation: 10 in total, comprised of up to 5 of specification A, up to 5 of specification B and up to 5 of specification C.

* Rear tyre allocation: 12 in total, comprised of up to 6 of specification A, up 5 of specification B, up to 4 of specification C. Riders who participate in both Q1 and Q2 will be allocated one extra rear slick of specification A (highest grip level) after Q2. The total rear slick allocation for these riders remains at 12, so any extra tyre taken will replace an unused rear slick from the original allocation.

So yeah, it looks like all compounds are available to all riders.

Maybe in abscence of intermediates, there will be a hard as well as soft rain tyre?

See my excerpt above... Dullard. :P

The company’s development of the MICHELIN Power Rain tyres – which has seen the harder compound show good durability in drying conditions – has led to the decision to remove the intermediates from this year’s allocation.

Aaah I beg to differ sir...

Just found this on motop gp fans pageon the fbook - interview with Michelin.

They also confirmed the 3 compound story as above. Should make for some interesting racing!

Aaaaah... You were querying the addition of a soft. I read it as that there was already a soft and you were wondering if there was a hard joining it.

Damn, reads like a low budget porno

MotoGP FP2 started on BT2HD if you're lucky enough to be able to watch.

Julian Ryder and what sounds like Keith Heuwen are commentating.

Julian Ryder in mid 2000s:

"As we see, the sun truly does shine out of Valentino Rossi's backside". As the director switched to the tailpiece camera as Rossi stood up after winning and the sun shone between his legs.

Brilliant!

Petrucci's just gone down by the way.

Oh, while everyone is out rain dancing remember this is a night race, under lights.

Rain usually gets the race cancelled for the glare the wet surface under lights creates. Happened a few years back.

So dont hope to much please, I would like to see a race......

Except that this year they will allow racing under lights, in the rain, if everyone had at least one session in the wet (which leaves WUP), so let's hope it doesn't rain. At all.
