Does King Kloof still exist?

Looking for places that would be safe for me to go ride even if I go on my own. i like riding around emmerentia but want to shake things up before I get too complacent. I found references to a place called King Kloof near krugersdorp but I see the website doesn't exist.

No phone number either. Anyone know?

I dont know the exact address(dont think there is one hahaha) but will try my best....drive along hendrik potgieter towards krugersdorp / clearwater way....pass clearwater and makro intersection carry on past the n14 intersection(there will be a sasol garage on the left corner) past some estates for a few km. On your left you will see a farm stall with an open field...that is the trail head. Think its 30 bucks for a spin. They don't have cooldrinks at the head so take your own.

Directions: Take the N14 towards Krugersdorp. Turn right at the 4-way traffic light just before Silver Star Casino (Sasol garage on the corner). After about 6km you will see Laurentia Farm stall on your left. The entrance and parking is behind the farm stall under the trees.

I wouldn't ride there alone tho. The boy scout in me (figuratively) tells me that if you bail hard there on your own your going to be in a bit of trouble. But it's a super lekker place to ride.

Directions seem legit, last time I was there they were selling coke at the farmstall.

everytime i see "Suitable for children"- i think suitable for Uni.

I'm not going to go do anything crazy - jumping off rocks or doing any daredevil stunts.

Do need to force myself to get up hills, rather than avoiding them, but just want a change of scenery.

 

i'll go have a scout around, as long as i can turn around if i decide it's too hectic and i'm not forced to finish?

No not yet. was chatting to one of my cycling mates a couple of days ago about wanting to go check it out.

i'm looking for options of places I can go even when there's no one available to go with me, so instead of just not doing any riding.

Rietvlei Uni friendly? - i.e. gentle inclines - nice scenery - safe to ride on my own?
