I am in. Looking forward to that climb. Going to be some prep for the Karoo to Coast. Does anyone know what the jeep track surface is like? Hope the bikes and quads hav'nt gone up there like Matopie in Franschoek.

It's private land, doubt motorbikes and quads will be allowed up there.

I'm in for the 45 backsberg one. Will be riding there from durbanville to get some mileage. Anyone from the ville that wants to join? I'll probably start at +-6 to get there on time with a easy pace..

Might be keen to join, problem is I don't have a light,..what time does it start getting light in the morning s now?

I think if we take the back road via klapmuts it'll be +-35 to 40k's max. It will normally become lighter just before 7. I've got an extra front flasher light but it doesn't help much for you to see just to be visible on the road, I'll be able to supply light with my normal one

Only saw this in Die Burger today as it is not on the annual calendar of Dirtopia who has Staalwater on the same day. Too late to enter I see as the Backsberg MTB site says only online entries which is closed already. Will the water stations only have that one big waterbottle that you have to fill yourself like at the Bouckaert Soenen of Paarl Rotary and PPA in January? Good luck, at least I can have coffee at Contermans tomorrow.

Also saw this too late to enter. I've done many events that allowed entries on the day, but I always entered online first. Now is probably the first time I've unfortunately not been able to enter, due to not being quick enough. Pity

I'm not riding it this time, will be doing LSD on my Mtb in prep for the Dr. Evil Classic.

Yeah for sure, other races can learn from this. Seeing as the rugby is starting 12.00 tomorrow afternoon, it suits me perfectly. Post race beers and pizza while watching the bokke play Aus. Can life get any better?

Shot for the rugby heads-up, I thought it would be a 9am game and didnt even bother looking what time it starts, 12pm is FANTASTIC!! Tomorrow is gonna be a great day!
