Don't worry Watcher I generally veer to the left in life...

Here's the headset cup system, which the Prophet has (off which that adapter came)

Big B solution might he here:

FSA Orbit DL 1.5R Reducer Headset 1.5" to 1 1/8" - 9528

Want to convert your Headshok frame to use a 1 1/8" steerer, but don't have System Integration Headshok cups? This is the headset for you. Presses directly into the head tube.

I await a call back from West Rand cycles ..... taps fingers on desk impatiently

Hopefuly they will sort you out, bought two Dale`s from them in the past - always gave great service.

Got a call back from West Rand 2 days later and offered one option at 1100 ZA Rondts  . decided to wait for Grumpy and it was well worth it (HE'S A GOOD MAN!). Cost for the headset goodies, half link chain and handlebar just over half that

Now to wait for lunchtime to start stripping the old 'donor' bike ...... :cursing:

Still some changes but any comments? Hoping that chain will be OK, can't make it any shorter ......

Dont worry that half link will be a little longer rather quickly and then you could hopefully shorten the chain.

If not and you can't do as rock proposes, get a chain guide that mounts between the BB / Frame and use this to take up the slack. Check out what Flowta did somewhere or drop him a PM for a pic, nice clean solution!

Bike looks FFFAAAARRRRR better than that old Merida BTW!
