Looks like team NL is setting up stepping stones for Vos. Benefits of having a bigger team

I think the best strategy for Ashleigh is to ignore all the shotgun attacks and just sit on the extra-terrestrial Vos's wheel

Last night 14 team bicycles were stolen from a hijacked technical truck. The incident took place at the parking of Datini Prato Hotel near Florence, the base hotel of Russian National Team during the UCI Road World Championships.

Among stolen bikes – the main and reserve bicycles of Alexander KOLOBNEV, Yuriy Trofimov and Sergei Chernetckii, who are preparing to take part in tomorrow’s Elite men road race.

Russian Rusveloteam, whose riders also represents Russia at the World Championships, was involved in the incident too. Two team bikes were also stolen from their technical bus.

New bikes are preparing at HQ of Team Katusha in Lonato right now. They'll be delivered in Florence to provide Katusha’s rider the possibility to take part in the queen’s race of the Worlds.

- The team will definitely start tomorrow in Elite men road race despite the incident — said Viatcheslav Ekimov — the situation is under control now, everything is all right in the team. Police investigating the burglary. This all sad, of course, but team can handle it. There is no way for us to abandon the competition.

Ash at 10th spot.

I hope the sit-back-and-wait works

It's all she can do as a 'best' strategy

Stay out of the wind

Avoid getting stuck behind a crash; stay near front

Hydrate

With Italy and the Netherlands represented in the break, the onus was on the USA to peg them back, and they have succeeded. A group of 30 or so riders is at the head of the race.
