Good day

What is the best quick link/replacement link for a KMC 10 Speed chain?

thanks

Just a thought, how about the KMC quick link?

Reusable, unlike the SRAM, which is supposed to be used only once

KMC one I guess would make sense!

Could you use an SRAM one with the KMC chain?

And I think the KMC ones dont need the special pliers to open up unlike the SRAM one.

29er....of course :w00t:

Oh then the KMC linkfor sure.

If it was a 26" I would have rather suggested the KMC link. And for a 27.5, I wouldn't have gone with either of those but perhaps try source a KMC link.

10sp is 10sp... so no matter what brand bicycle chain, you can use a SRAM or a KMC link.

The SRAM 10sp is said to be single use. But I have found that if you use proper quick link pliers, you can remove and re-install it as many times as you like. I have both SRAM and KMC 10 links and haveb;t had issue with either.

As for where to find the KMC ones... I got mine on a probikeshop (France) order, so I'm not usre localy.

My advice, don't stress if you can't find them. Just go for the SRAM, but then get some proper quick-link pliers (of you don't already have), as they will allow you multiple uses out of the SRAM. Plus they're just super handy in general.

Use a SRAM one. Dont reuse a kmc quick link, they a Once off use. I have had experience with this. Great chains. Just the quick links work loose if you reuse them, and they can come off in a sprint.

Where can you get the KMC ones?

I can find plenty of local dealers supplying the SRAM ones but no KMC?

Your LBS should be able to get for you.

The one I went to had them in a jar behind the counter.

I find that my SRAM link is easy to remove without the pliers but the KMC one no ways. You actually have to apply quite a bit of pressure to the pedals when installing the KMC link to get it to click into place.
