seven Posted October 11, 2013 Share I got an e-mail from Garmin SA yesterday stating that the Vector (pedal based power meter) has been launched in SA. It is not available on their online store yet. Any idea of pricing?

Jaco-fiets Posted October 11, 2013 Share +-R21K SERIAAS? Wasn't initial indications R10 000-00?
seven Posted October 11, 2013 Share Thanx! So much for advertising saying it is a ‘cost effective’ power meter...
Blackadder Posted October 11, 2013 Share It's $1,699 in the US, so R21,000 seems likely.

Jakkals. Posted October 11, 2013 Share also thought 15k would be fairish. I might have bought it for that price but alas.

'Dale Posted October 11, 2013 Share Most reviews claim that this is overpriced.Being fitted on the pedals also makes it prone to damage.
'Dale Posted October 11, 2013 Share And the exchange rate is so crappy...
Jaco-fiets Posted October 11, 2013 Share For Garmin SA's sake I hope they only bring in on order otherwise they will be sitting with some expensive inventory
stratus5 Posted October 11, 2013 Share Powertap dropped the pricing on the G3 hub to $789 on 1 August. I see the online bicycle shops are still trying to sell their old stock at a higher price :<(
Pure Savage Posted October 11, 2013 Share I hope Garmin SA bring in a container or two and then sit with it for a year and then put them on sale for R10K like the market expected
Patchelicious Posted October 11, 2013 Share And the exchange rate is so crappy... Exactly ..... at the time they announced this, it was R8 to the $ so the indicated price of $150 was in libe with around the R11k mark, but thanks to Guvement it is now at the R20k mark.... nice.
