Thug Posted October 14, 2013 Posted October 14, 2013 Depends on how fast you are leaving home... think its about 35 oddHill st, Wicklow, Jan Smuts to the top of Forestown, Oxford, Jellicoe, Bompas, Jns smuts, up Conrad through linden, sometimes up northcliff and back via dam wall - on my SS usually average about 21.x kph from home back to home. A nice hilly route.

V12man, I did your route this morning and threw in Northcliff on my way home. Hill, Wicklow, Bolton, Conrad and Northcliff gave me 28k's with 458m of climbing. I think you went off line a little somewhere near bolton... there should be more climbing done... Hayley slept in this morning.... I think... or her alarm clock is not working well enough. I am planning a 1000m climb route in 40k or less... trying to remove junk miles from training routes... but means going around the houses a fair bit...

As I got there, the ICG'ers were just pulling out from the garage. I must admit though, I didn't turn right and go past the water tower at NC but went straight over.

We turn right into Jan Smuts and go up till the last road in Forest town, then North on Oxford, but through saxonwald to Jellicoe - too many taxi's on Oxford.

Leaving from the Circle outside the vet in Craighall (cnr Buckingham and Clarence - the extension of 1st ave West) at 5 on Wednesdays or 5:15 on Fridays. Both rides come through Emmarentia so you can drop off there on way home if you feel like it but finish at Guru in Parktown North for coffee. Hi All,The above is a rather outdated post.
