Rampage: Norbied or Not?

So after looking back at the poduim earning Rampage runs, I personally think that McGarry should have been on the top step.

 

Straits run was fluid... but not mind blowing.

Zink's flipping of the icon sender was mental, but he kinda lost it after that.

McGarry I think had the best all round run.

 

I wanna hear what you folk have to say though...

I preferred McGarry's line.

as i saw it, not one person really deserved the title this year. subtract the big ticket nuttiness from either zinks or mcgarry's run, then Strait probably wins it. Hell, i'd give strait brownie points just because he guinea pigged the sender for Zink pretty much whole tournament.

 

What's missing though is an unbroken run from Semenuk. that guy just has the crappiest Rampage luck out there. My thought when he took off on his first run was " Oh look, another specialized rider bailing in the first corner.."

 

oh and lacondeguy?? quel dommage. What super fast run, but missing that BIG thing. Sexiest whip out there though.

 

but hotdamn, this year was pure savagery. The crashpilation should be epic!

Mc Garrys flip over the canyon was insane ... sorry but i think that puts Zinks flip off the Sender to shame. (although that flip that Zink landed was F-ing HUGE!

If so... then yeah... Semenuk had 1 good Rampage year and has fallen off the pace since.

I think Zinks flip takes the cake as the bravest trick - 70 ft down as opposed to horizantal makes it more dangerous IMO. The judges got the top 5 right but probably the order wrong. They have to judge it then and there so we need to be fair to them too. AL should have been in the top 3- and probably would have but for the wind.

 

I have the impression that BS is trying too hard - too hard a line chosen was his first mistake- maybe finding it hard to live up to his legend status when under pressure?

No chance strait deserved that, McGarry went balls deep for that canyon gap.

 

His biggest problem was that he didn't go off a tier one sponsors zone ( rabble rabble conspiracy theory). Less cameras than the sender so you don't get the true magnitude of the travel and drop that was involved with that canyon. There is one micro pan shot from the back that sort of shows the actual magnitude of it. Plus a complete run.
