Oh you mean the vigilante justice?

Well there has been a lot of problems at Plastic View the past year. Some of them the problem, and the rest of them just want to have a place to stay.

Insurance companies are going to start asking if our bikes are fitted with a tracking system before they insure....

All I hope is the tracker units are carbon so they don't weigh us down too much

My neighbour is heavily involved with the local crime prevention CPF people, I will discuss with him this evening, he runs patrols around that area, let's get a presence there ASAP.

The thing is, and we do that as well, is that as soon as firearms (especially positive shootings) are involved, we stay away. A couple of us in our NHW are armed, but we have more to lose than the robbers do.

Turns out that section is outside the sector policing so need to rely on the Garsfontein station. Apparently a third incident tonight, the Parkview Thursday night riders were shot at this evening.

Just in case you missed it in the other post here it is again...

It wasn't a group of riders this evening that were shot at it was just me and another guy from Parkview Night Riders (PNR). The place where we were almost bike-jacked was going down Garsfontein road from Mooikloof a few hundred metres before Woodlands shopping centre. As we approached these two guys the one guy tried to pull something out his pocket and it looked like they were going to attack us, we sped up and the next thing we heard three shots fire at us. We didn't look back and just carried on cycling.

I predict that whole portion of land up to Mooikloof Ridge to be completely filled with squatter camps in 4 years.

Maybe then i'd be able to afford a house in Woodhill/Mooikloof.

Unbelievable. I'm sitting in my garden just a couple Km's from there right now ... We were just wondering if those were more shots we just heard, talk about the Wild West in the east.

Unbelievable! I live in the west was planning on buying now in the east, 2nd thoughts maybe not. I've also noticed that it looks like a township already behind that church by woodlands.

I'll do my darnest to get the Garsfontein police to look into that problem. I definitely don't want to have to scrap this as a route.

Not great news at all. Hopefully they don't start moving accross to Atterbury and Zwavelpoort. Lots of cyclists there.

I have a cellphone number for Capt Steenkamp of the Garsfontein Police Station. He's the Captain that heads up the Crime Forum meeting held at Wingate every Monday. I'd give him a call but as I do not ride in the Garsfontein area I wouldn't be able to give him much details. I'm reluctant to post his number on an open forum... drop me a PM.

My blockleader from our NHW meets with Cpt Steenkamp every Monday at that meeting. I'll email him and ask him to discuss it with them.
