I take the point of speed making it gnarlier, and if that is the case then fine. I'm the last one that wants to ride glorified XC courses, but I also don't want to have to bomb down DH courses expecting mountain trail. And of course the skills need to be pushed, so tech gets my vote. Came across this. Excuse the marketing but it shows nicely DH and XC coming together in the middle with Enduro. But i do need a bigger bike. Ja, look the Carbine is a fantastic bike. JP van Zyl at Recycles has one, and yes, it is better (lighter, stiffer etc etc) than the Tracer. But maybe 10% better, if that. So you know I figured, rather than flogging R30k, why don't I just get 10% better (lighter, fitter etc). Buuuuuuuut, having said all of these nice things.....
