I feel your pain! watching new components coming in with no frame to put them on (yet)

And? AND? AND?!!!!!!?

I had no problems while climbing, gear ratio felt disgustingly easy after taking the reign up contermans for the last few weeks, I did half the climb in the big ring :o . The trance is much quicker than the reign, accelerates like crazy.

I cant really comment on the descending just yet, it was quite a lot change, and I was interrupted...

What I did notice:

Need to cut the 785mm bars down (didn't have time)

2.25 Hans Dampfs on narrow rims are going to take some getting used to. (flow ex's for xmas? )

The CTD rear shock works WAY better than the previous one I had.

The fork doesn't feel great. It may be setup related but it feels a little like the previous fox 32 I had on my trance, you either have excessive diving when braking or pedalling hard out the saddle, or you pump it up and bit and never use the last 25-30% of travel. The lyrics LS comp on full would keep the fork rock solid when braking, pedalling, in berms etc, but utilise all travel on a big hit.

Ok, now on to the embarrassing part. I hit the first jump of the day and my rear brake pads come flying past me in to the bushes... enough said :(

I ordered adapters from them, order was shipped on the 4th and it has only reached the "JHB int. incoming mail centre" this morning...

Ok ... I ordered on the 3rd

Yeah. That CTD system is kaaaaaaaak! They should have stuck with propedal. It's a well known problem in the Fox line up, one that they were supposed to fox but clearly haven't

And the rear would probably have been a function of the type of shock that was on there. The rp 23 has a much firmer lockout / propedal platform than the vivid does. The vivid is a really burly ass shock not really designed with much pedalling efficiency in mind AFAIK.
