Don't have a price on it specifically, it's just included with a bunch of other upgrades that I've asked about. Will post once I have more detail.

Thanks man, specifically interested in the cost on the dropper. You might get it at a better price as a package though.

I was happy with everything on my bike, until I read this post...

Haha sorry man! It is sweet once it's all done, it pops out just before the lower shock eyelet

I have to say, I was a bit concerned about this bike at first. I could feel it climbed better than my old 26er Silverback dually, but it did not feel that much faster overall. I however went for my 5th ride today and things are coming together nicely. I've tweaked the setup and my riding position feels so comfortable now. I really have a lot of confidence suddenly, to throw my weight around and I'm starting to use the dropper all the time, to get my weight down low. I was also not riding for almost 3 months, so fitness is slowly returning. Pedalling hard between corners and switchbacks, it really picks up speed quickly and you can enter and exit those corners pretty damn fast.

All and all, I'm feeling like a pig in the brown stuff...

How much better are these brakes than the Trance 2 brakes? Is the upgrade worth it?

Trance 2 2014 brakes are Deore level levers with Alivio calipers, and 2015 is Deore / Deore.

It's not worth the upgrade unless they're broken, IMO.

EDIT: You'll get a far more worthwhile performance upgrade with new rotors (if you're on 160 go to 180 if you're on 180 go to 203) than you would with the upgrade to SLX.

Plus, you'd get wicked braking power on your new set, if you ever do upgrade...

One more question, for now... Is there supposed to be a plug in this gaping hole on the downtube?

what i learned about the brake hose tied with zip-ties running on the bottom link- relax the zip ties so it can move freely.otherwise they(zip-ties) will slowly chafe the outer "casing" eventualy leading to damage to the hose.
