Awesome thread.

Thought I would ask what was the progression of your kids ito bikes, so something like:

1st bike @ 11/2 - 2yrs was a xxx bike

2nd bike @ 2 years - 6yrs was a yyy bike

3rd bike etc, etc....

I fear I'm behind already   , my daughter is 17months old and I need to figure out what to get her.

My Daughter (on her front wheel) learnt to ride on a micro racing BMX. You wont find a lighter bike which she used to race BMX and MTB lap races!!

Where can one find one of these? What's the difference between a micro and a mini as in what age are they suitable for?

Not easy to find. Micro's are not really available unless custom made. Mini's suit kids generally up to 1.5M or 30Kg's approximately . Not easy to find locally. Looking for one myself.

Hi,

My daughter is almost turning 2 and we are looking for a bike for her to start on. I had a look at the strider website and these balance bikes does look like a good start.

any other options or advice?

cheers.

The strider is bulletproof and a monkey can set it up/make adjustments without tools. I weigh 79kg and I have cruised around on it.
