Free time is not a luxury I have between family, work, maintaining a home and managing to get a ride or two in per week, which now makes me feel pretty shitty that I get to enjoy this ride without contributing, can we not pay a fee to ride which could contribute to maintaining and building the trail?

Start charging a ride fee, or it's gonna be 5% of riders who maintain and building the trail for the other 95%. doesn't have to be a huge amount and I think most would be happy to pay it.

Support him by "contributing" the wage of 1 x casual labourer...that's what i'd do!! That way someone is still helping nad you are contributing to the help indirectly!!
