YOU SIT IN A "HOT BOX"TYPE CHAMBER AND THEY "PUMP"IT FULL OF OZONE/O2 AND IT APPARENTLY WORKS WELL BECAUSE YOUR SYSTEM ABSORBS THE O2 WELL AND IT SPEEDS UP HEALING

Ozone and O2 are separate things. Ozone is composed of three oxygen atoms, and O2 is the regular two oxygen atoms combined that we breathe. They vary greatly in chemical make-up and toxicity within the living tissue.

Quackery thrives on desperate and frustrated people. If it worked it would be used as first line therapy by people that can be sued if they didn't treat you optimally.

Ozone is O3. It is used to disinfect water, remove odours and so forth. Do not go and breath this stuff. It is not good for you. Ozone itself is very dangerous in high concentrations

Oxygen treatment, now that is a whole other story. Just use the correct terminology. Of oxygen treatment I know very little except the bit where you can go and sit in a hyperbaric chamber under pressure and breath oxygen enriched air. Apparently speeds up recovery. Same process as used when divers get the bends.

DO NOT GO SUCK ON AN OZONE TUBE.

Not sure what you mean?

Lengthy exposure to higher concentrations of oxygen is highly dangerous and not advised (though in a medical setting it is different... choice between two evils it always is.) - free radicals and what not...

Hyperbaric chamber? Proven to work... I know the rugby guys use it... The cheetahs uses the hyperbaric chamber at National hospital Oncology unit in Bloem always... Though there must be side effects I'm sure

Or are you referring to that "machines" you put in the bath/bedroom that is suposedly something to do with oxygen (all hocus pocus...)

I thought ozone is toxic? The wikipedia page on it, especially how it's introduced into the body doesn't sound like fun (depending on your point of view)... http://en.wikipedia....i/Ozone_therapy

Now the "science" behind that just look plain dangerous!?

DIPS is it not oxygen rather than ozone?

i dont know you sit in a hot box type thing where they steam you to 40* and pump in gas and apparently gets absorbed through your pores, very good for healing

Many different ways of doing ozone.

Ozone sauna - some work better than others - I've tried it but can't say for sure whether it works or not. Certainly didn't do any harm.

Ozone autohaemotherapy - I'm sure this is effective, but is expensive and not readily available.

Prolozone - very effective for joint healing - helped me a lot.

Ozone is closely related to hydrogen peroxide. Intravenous H202 drips can also be very effective.

I don't know why it has such a bad name. It's a very well accepted and established modality in Germany. It has amazing healing properties. You just mustn't breath it. Fortunately it has a very distinctive smell, and it can be smelled in the air at concentrations way below what is toxic.

Uhm... gas does not really get absorbed very well though your skin...

The lungs handle that quite well though

just your body is in the chamber head out, no breathing in of anything other than the out side air, and the machine is in a "spa" type set up, its not a R5 lucky packet type of machine,, i remember one of the physios advertised here on the hub they also use it as part of recovery thereapy

I used to do a lot of work in the bottled water industry in South Afirca and in those years (2001-2008) it was illegal to bottle ozone water. We used to use the ozone rich water to disinfect the water that those plastic PET bottles got washed with. That was as close as you could get to it ozone water. Ozone however does not last long in the water (+- 30min) after which its effectiveness goes down. What the law says around it these days I do not know.

II also got an overdose of the stuff doing some work from a pipe that was leaking. It felt like I was going to cough my lungs out for a few days. It is not good

Receiving Oxygen enriched air in an hyperbaric environment is a science that has been going on for a long time and does work. I currently do work in the diving industry and this is how divers get treated that have contracted the bends. It is also used for medicinal purposes of which you can find info everywhere. Divers have been using it for many many years with no side effects.

It's your money... spend it as you like.... personally I think spending it on a holiday might work better....

Although I do remember using the oxygen feed for hangovers... from time to time.... that seemed to work.... maybe it was just in my head...

Are you crazy!?

This is the largest amount of nonsense i have read in a long while!

H2O2 IV will kill you in seconds!

Please sir, share your qualifications with us!? Because I am sure you have none!

Dips... I have quite a good understanding of physiology/chemistry/pathology etc...

I say, be careful...
