Dr. Hans-Wilhelm Muller-Wolffarht, I understand he is quite good. He injects lambs blood, stuff extracted from cockerels, honey etc.

 

You might have to fly to Germany to see him.

you know what the problem is you speak to enough people and you will find 20 OPINIONS on 1 specific surgeon and in the mean time i havent rode in 3 months,,,,,,

I can't see how ozone sauna is going to help your knee but if you want a referral to an excellent doctor who does prolotherapy and prolozone PM me.

I have been an assistant in quite a few ops... lets just say i hope i never need an orthopod

 

I must say, mine was very good, and based on my recovery, I'd call him a genius. (He does call himself one too, which is kinda cool in a Sheldon Cooper kind of way...)

No double blind and 13 is not really an adequate sample size. Plus, if we are bordering on this fringe then they should know that 13 is just plain unlucky!

That is true.

 

The problem in the medical field is...One must be able to prove a treatment modality has a greater effect than placebo (and i must add: placebo together with empathy)

 

And placebo is quite effective! (even if you know its placebo).

 

Interesting fact: Homeopathy is more effective than placebo: Because someone listens to you (even though he is a quack)...

I have no problem with homeopathy (people feel better) ... I do however have a problem that they proclaim it a science.

 

 

Even then, one must scrutinise the researchers methods / exclusion criteria etc...

 

Getting a straight answer from a docter is damn near impossible!!!

And they will do whatever it takes to preserve their careers and their livelihood. They all know that for a professional athlete, surgery is the beginning of the end. They also have to get back on the field quickly - they don't have time to arse around with stuff that doesn't work.

Yep... to be quite honest... I am not the biggest fan of orthopedic surgery. Don't get me wrong, the improve millions of lives... but they also ruin quite a few (especially when it comes to knees!)...

The orthopedic surgeon that operated on my knee a few years ago is also struggling with a torn meniscus that sometimes "locks up" his knee. He said he is postponing his own surgery as he can't trust orthopedic surgeons! Makes one drink! I mean think... Edited December 9, 2013 by Sniffie

My grandpa told me had witseerkeel (not confirmed by a doctor) as a kid. They only had 'boererate' on the farm.
