Best MTB 29er on 10-12k budget

Hi,

 

I would appreciate any advice ... there are a couple of specials at cyclelab that meet my requirements

 

Scott Aspect 910 R9999

Merida big 9 500 R11500

Trek x-caliber 9 R12000

 

The Trek has rockshox fork xc32 and the others have xc30. I don't know enough about the rest of the bikes to make a good call, but they seem pretty much they same to me.

I bought a Axis A10. Rock Shock Reba SRAM XO X9 mix Avid elixir3 brakes. R12000 pretty good value and beats the 3 above on spec. MHO

Definitely go the route of Marvin, that Axis is one hell of a bike!

 

Otherwise look @ silverback 2013 vida 1 or 2 both or 2014 vida 2 will fall in your budget

Merida hands down. A mate just bought one and he is loving it, really good value for money and IMO the frame is really well built and looks great.

I bought the Merida big 9 500 a while ago and loving it. Got it for 10995.00 from linden cycles.

Out of the 3 you suggested I would choose the Aspect... plainly cause I'm very bias to the bike as it was my first one and I absolutely loved it.... until it got donated from the back of my car.

 

The GT is a very nice option.... MPO
