PE airport transfer to J-Bay (with bike)

Hi.

 

I've decided to join my girlfriend on holiday in Jeffrey's Bay and bought a ticket to fly down to PE Airport thinking that renting a car or getting a shuttle service would not be a problem. Big mistake from my side. There are no cars available for rental and a shuttle service (one way) to drive around 70km would cost between R700-R950. That is almost the same price as my flight ticket.

 

Does anyone know of a cheaper way to travel from PE airport to JBay with a big bike bag?

 

Riding my bike with all my luggage seems to be the best option here.

I agree on riding your bike. Pack light and use a rusk sack. She can't fetch you?

There must be a PE hubber that can help you - try Fabes...

Dude ....its hi season....the shuttle gonna have to go back ...most likely empty ...that's 140kms...then there is the waiting and parking fees @ the airport ..drivers salary, vehicle costs and don't forget fuel.....its never just the the 70Kms...there is more to running a transport business that needs to be costed ...just my 5cents ...
