Love this kinda geometry, similar to 'Dale...

All the chatter has been about the refined geo on the disc version of this bike but I'm still intrigued with the whole lugging aspect that seems old skool and slightly at odds. Any theories as why (customs fit options?).

@hellocolour, custom frame fit, the lugged frame is said to be better than a moulded frame. I would'nt want a Colnago to be made any other way. It's a work of art made in a jig like a bicycle should be made. A moulded frame is just that, it comes from a mould. Head over to colnago.com and watch the videos on how Colnagos are made. Be warned you might just fall in love.

I figured as much but was still taken back by the relatively old lugged method joining custom fit carbon frames when you look at the ways other makers create individual carbon frames (like Parlee et al).

I grew up racing when every bike was made for you by hand in Reynolds or Columbus, usually by a brilliantly grumpy genius craftsman. I used to do anything as a nipper to get into the workshop, sweep the floor, make tea anything to try to learn off the legendary Ron Cooper. Still unsure if technology really made it that much better and can still remember being very confused when I bought a moulded carbon frame for more than the work of a man with a jig, hacksaw and a lot of skill.
