Do you get a "Flipper" attachment for Cleats?

When we registered I had to buy a Racetec Chip. Which is now not required. Are there any other races that will require this chip during the year?

If you going to do road yes

Pity about the rain. The first 10km will be impossible following this downpour. Upside, I can spend Saturday fixing things around the house   Not a pleasant alternative.

How bad is this going to be really?

Racetec only required for road races. If you got it for the MTB, somebody tricked you!!

You could not untick the box and was charged R120. I have sent a refund request to Cycleevents as they would not even issue us with the chips!

What happens when it rains on the day?

RULE 9: // If you are out riding in bad weather, it means you are a badass. Period.

Fair-weather riding is a luxury reserved for Sunday afternoons and wide boulevards. Those who ride in foul weather – be it cold, wet, or inordinately hot – are members of a special club of riders who, on the morning of a big ride, pull back the curtain to check the weather and, upon seeing rain falling from the skies, allow a wry smile to spread across their face. This is a rider who loves the work.

Time to bang a big gear on the SS and hit Serengeti. I'm not exposing my race machine to the mudfest.

Maybe you'll be slower on the SS and won't miss any route markings coz you riding too fast ;-)...............like last year.

Thank's, just find it strange to have a number board and chip unless Racetec are up to their usual and forcing people to buy their chips.
