Had to take a dig.

His world champ win was lucky. He thinks he's got grand tour pretensions is just laughable.

It's like Rudy Dhaenens winning in Japan. A complete fluke. Guys who rate him as a Champion amuse me.

(Note the capital "c")

Oh

Point taken - not understood.

He won what was one of the toughest WC days in recent history - wet, cold, strong field, etc.

Good hair though?

:-)

Hair pathetic. He thinks he's as good as sagan, and he's not even as good as Simpson.

Look, I'll eat the humble pie, if he's ever gonna serve it. I just don't think he has the recipe.

Agree with you! Don't think we will hear much of him in future.

“It’s one thing to make a mistake or know what you’ve done but we figure that there’s a patch of oil or something. I think I had tears in my eyes before I even hit the floor. There aren’t really words for it. To race for seven hours and for that to happen on the last corner…. it’s poetry.”

So we are done for the 2014 Classics. LBL was a fast tough one, hard to break with attacks and real bad luck for Dan. Good to see Mikal up there, expect to see more of him in the future I reckon. And a nice guy: reserved, no show-boating, and letting the action speak.

Pic of the day

post-12015-0-72462600-1398622302_thumb.jpg

Was watching the final kilometer and played the corner on slow-mow. Dan's inside pedal seemed to touch the road which caused him to go down.

He said, in an interview, that it seems he it an oil patch.

What a brave rider.

Yeah, he over-cooked it. Simple racer's error.

There was no phantom oil or gravel "marbles" or anything else.
