tel veel code in die thread...

back to ingrish

just swop the hoses. You may lose a littel fluid. Once you have connected everything back the way you want it give the brake lever a few pupms t move the air bubble back to the reservior.

Now remove the brake reservior cap and top up the fluid.

Or as Mampara says, leave them as is. it is better that way.

Ok, i would also like to know. 'Cause i would like to swop mine around aswell .... nothing to do with wrong way around, or right way around. It's what i'm used to. And what i'm used to is my rear brake on my right hand.

Raced BMX when i was a laaitie, we only used a rear brake, and it was on my right hand. I guess if you were left handed you migh've had it on your left hand. Anyways ... it's imprinted in my brain by now, right hand = rear brake.

Can i just swop Avid Juicy 5's cables around aswell??

Juicy 5's are hydraulic not so? BB5/7's are cable and as stated they are not side specific so you can just swap the levers around. In fact just disconnect the cable at the lever and swap around even easier. If they are Juicy 5's then the position of the reservoir would be an issue so I doubt just swapping around is going to be ok?

thanks lefty.

Is this a special fluid? or normal car brake fluid?

When you bought the groupset did you see the little bottle of mineral oil in the box with your brakelevers? Ask your "friendly" lbs to give it to you as you paid for it and do not want to buy your own mineral oil back from him.Angry

Avid hydraulic brake levers are flip-flop levers. You can just undo the clamp and swop them around no need to undo the hoses. That is the best part about Avids.

Ok,

first. No I imported the groupset directly and it was mated and bleeded by them.

So I swopped my cables around:

I tried not to loose any mineral oil, but the cables was hard to pull out, I did and I think some juice did splatter out when it popped out.

My left hand brake is 100% (almost), but my righthand needs to be bleeded. Its a bit "loose"

The olivies looks still fine and I'm going to take it this morning to get it bleeded.

At least noe I know how to unscrew that thingy and swop it around.

still needs to find out how to bleed. But this morning,(with a couple of doughnuts) in my possesion, I will be off to a shop.

Had a quick look at LittleBen's levers (Juicy 5's) on the way out this morning and Parra you are 100% correct Embarrassed so please discount my statement :-
