Jeans are fine for about 15km rides max, then it gets ridiculous, but 3 degrees is bloody cold can't blame them, the guy doesn't look like he's dressed for that temp though?

36er, strange looking, kinda strange to ride at first, but when that thing gets going, man it moves. Can't say I would ever aspire to own one, but it was a lotta fun to ride

Would absolutely love having one of these

Hey Dean, not much that's exciting I'm afraid. Made my second payment though, which made the eyes water with this exchange rate I can tell you!

Next rev of drawing attached which I have been working through this last week. Revised numbers and changed fork to RS from Lefty. I really underestimated how hard this would be. When you can have whatever you want it becomes very difficult to choose. Also, very easy to to hung up on the numbers, or a specific one or two, which in themselves do not necessarily a great handling bike make!

When you start throwing in things like front center and mechanical trail into the normal mix of effective top tube, reach, chainstay length, BB drop, standover, etc it starts getting confusing...

Time for a little update. Apologies guys but due to circumstances within (in some cases) and outside of my control this puppy has taken muuuuch longer than initially planned to get done.

Anyway, as I type it is boxed and ready for shipment. I travel to the US next month, so will save on the courier fees and just bring it back with me.

I need to edit the title, but for some reason I cannot.... I should read Black Sheep (not so)Fatbike. After some deliberation (a contributor to the delay) I binned the fat idea for a "normal" 29er but that could fit a 2.5" tyre on a Velocity Dually rim (45mm wide) and still have enough clearance. So fat-ish....

Build post #3: Frame fully welded up, Chris King headset and bottom bracket installed, head badge mounted, media etch completed. Syntace X12 142x12mm rear dropouts. Axle and derailleur hanger is removable. HACS (horizontally adjustable chainstays) can just be seen on the extreme right of the last picture. Very clean SS or geared option.

I like Barry. Going to look good built up. You going to run it as SS?

I guess it would be 29+ wheelsize

Some of these get built up to accomodate 26" fat wheels and 29+ setups in one frame, so you can flip between the two... I think this may be such.

Nope, 29er only. Standard 73mm BB width and short chainstays 16.7" precludes fat 36" rims and 29+. Did want either, so designed as I wanted. Will build as SS but will convert to gears when the fancy takes me. About a 10min job.

Thanks for looking
