Hi Hubbers,

I dont have a pump to inflate my wheels (running Tubeless)

Which one is the one to go for and what pressure should I be looking to maintain?

There is such a variety so I am leaning on the expertise on this forum.

Preferably, I would like to buy only one pump.

Cheers

Gary

Cheap pump = frustration

Try the following (for no elbow grease required):

Before race - 12V air compressor (with accurate gauge).

During race - CO2 bombs (>4) and adaptors (+ wheel plugs)

You are sorted.

I have a Ryder dual action pump which works well enough when I need to just top up air pressure while out on the trail. I'd say the bomb would be used more when you replace a tube.

As for the pressure, it's up to you depending on what sort of riding you do. There isn't one straight answer to that.

Hi BH,

Thought the bombs will mess with my sealant?

It will, but you don't want to be caught doing the "elbow boogie" out on a race/ride trying to re-flate (if there is such a word) tubeless tires. There it is all about convenience, saving energy for what matters, effective and efficient application of mechanical skills and speed. You can worry about the sealant after the race/ride. Your major consideration should be to get back home......saving sealent is not worth the effort or a walk (hike-a-bike).

Nice quality floor pump to check wheels before each ride, and some bombs to take with on the ride.

Thanks, so the bombs are for inflating the tubes inserted when the possible side wall tears or bigger punctures occur.

or, just re-inflating the tubeless tyre when there is a loss in pressure.
