Super mil and Omega , how many bones you guys broken whilst riding?

Just cracked a few ribs. I ride like an old lady. Which is why i said don't take advice from me. Why do you ask? And like Super_mil said. If this jinxes me I keel you.

Oh and a concussion. Not that that counts.

If this jinx's me I'm going to break you Skylark, but on a MTB none. I did my collarbone on a motorbike and to date that has been the worst of it (Touch wood).

I do tend to err on the side of caution with my riding though (and then kick myself for being such a pu$$y afterwards).

Where are some "smaller" jumps or kickers in JHB? I have found a few along the Spruit near Tana road and know of the scouts hall but where else? Wouldn't mind joining up with someone to show me some lines along the spruit.

Also been to the PWC park, but I am not paying the fifty bucks until they have done some maintenance there.

I'm in the same boat there.

Sorry oke's no jinx , just checking to see if your advice will hurt or not!

Caution FTW, because when things go avocado it's 99% because you stopped focusing/got lazy and threw caution to the wind.

Or some dodgy chicks were watching and you thought some bigger air would impress them hahahahaha

Riding with someone with lots of experience is the most helpful or else you generally have to learn the slow hard way. YouTube is incredible though, you can watch some of the best runs ever and watch on repeat, it eventually all starts making sense. There's a few cool DH series on YouTube, Athertons, Peaty and a good few others.

Ps dit was my eerste jumps en DH rit

That would be Peach you want to speak to.

You would expect him to learn by now...

My 2 cents: Jumping is more scary than hard. The best place to learn is at a skatepark where the jumps are small, smooth and solid. And then riding the Bagjump helps a lot with growing the b@lls you need for the bigger jumps. And WHEN the sheit hits the fan, follow the best rule ever, (taken out of the movie R.I.P.D), RELAX BODY!!!!
