im not sure i understand what this passing issue is?

If you are referring to my post in short I didn't look behind me to see the guy that was coming from behind pretty fast to pass me and nearly ran him into the bushes and causing both of us to almost wipeout. My mistake hence the apology as I didn't spot him afterwards to do so

While congestion is never ideal, I'd rather be stuck behind someone grinding their granny on single track than riding jeep track. And there were some fun single track climbs today

i wasn't referring to any one post so please don't take it personally. few people have mentioned getting held up so it was a reply to that generally.

its blowing a gale and raining outside now, that mist was horrible but it could have been so much worse!

Quality event, Kudos to the organizers. Loved how the whole community came together to make the festivities afterwards awesome! (Aka, fantastic food & beer) More races need to do this.

Brilliant event and a great day out, that wrong turn 300 meters from the start was so funny.well organised and a great route and venue.

how does that happen?! who can we blame? :)

Had a good chuckle. Stood in the pen with lots of time to spare, only to see riders arrive late and push / worm their way to the front. Gun goes off and it's all gung ho, just for the front riders to take the wrong turn. Us "midfielders" turn the right way, and all of a sudden we are at the front of the race.

Karma is a bitch.... :whistling:

Nevertheless, it was a good race, no bottlenecks at the singletracks (probably because the riders "naturaly" got sorted out to their abilities.)

yeah.. you had to laugh really.. getting to the start line really early so i was near the front only to end up at the back...

so thankful that the start was flat, that would not have been fun if it had been straight up as some races are.

Also thankfull for that. It takes me a fair bit of time to warm up, so by the time we got to that first climb, I was again solidly in the midfield and warmed up, so I could take the climb at a fair pace (for me, naturaly :whistling: )

Not sure if I said it before, I LOVED THIS RACE TO BITS!!

Why are there no info on this race on the Hub this year. I did this race last year and what an awesome route.

I entered this year again.

Anyone else doing it?

Posted

I'm doing it. The "Bone Crusher"

Race date : 30 May 2015.

Enter online @ www.darlingbrew.co.za

Entry fee a bit steep (in my books) at R220.00, but worth it. Lots and lots of flowing single track, with most of the turns bermed.

CANT WAIT FOR THIS RACE!!!

If you are interested enter early, last year I wanted to go but left it late to enter(because small local races never sell out....) and ended up getting the "Sorry, Race is sold out" message on the website
