Rode it a month ago, singletrack is badly rutted, some sections were simply not at all nice to ride. with the wet, its going to be nasty!

 

Yummy! the nastier the better, tired of dirty road races :-*

Yeah I am going to change my rear from 17 to 19. There are lots of tough hills there. Might just take it easy and enjoy this one if it is really wet. No point in going break neck speeds to break my neck! Should be good fun. I also run a 32 on my geared bike. You should be great with that setup. Where is the start and what time? (for the ling one!) seems I can't find info!!!

They sent out emails today with all the info. 65km starts 8h00. Leliefontein farm, Wellington. Not the same venue as last year. Edited by Johny Bravo

Thanks for entering the Wellington Gravel Travel! Herewith some info regarding the event on Saturday:

 

Venue: Bosman Family Vineyards,
Lelienfontein, Wellington (Please Note: venue has changed and the
event is not held at Diemersfontein as in the past
!). For detailed directions, please see attached.

 

Registration/

Number collect: At Lelienfontein on race day from 6h30 onwards. There will also be late entries, if your friends still want to enterJ.

 

Race starts: 65km (8h00); 35km (8h15) and 15km (8h30)

 

Rider/Distance

changes: Can be done at registration when you collect your number at the venue.

 

Timing: You DO NOT need a timing chip – races will be timed manually.

 

Entertainment: There will be a supervised KIDS ZONE! Post-race entertainment will include craft beer, good food and award-winning wines for tasting!

The Search - whats the final verdict on drainage. Keen to come out and will survive the rain but not looking for a hefty repair bill on Monday.
