Momsen bikes

Hi Guys,

 

I am in the market for a Momsen AL329 or AL429, but I have heard from a well respected LBS, that of late, there have been issues with the frames... has anyone here experienced this?

it not the AL329 or 429, but i have an AL229 and frame wise it is sound. I have met a few riders who own the two mentioned frames and non of them have had any problems, to date i am yet to meet a Momsen owner who regrets their purchase.

I haven't heard about any problems with frames.

The AL429 is amazing, it won a bike shootout recently...

All brands have issues, is that LBS even a Momsen dealer? They may be trying to get you to fork out for another brand

have a momsen al329 2 years now. no problem. Love the bike.

Have had the AL126 & now the SL629 Momsen. Love them, no problems to date.

I've got a 2012 AL529 and a new AL651 Air, no issues with either one.

Only hear of one guy that had a problem with his Momsen frame. LBS where he bought had some "issues" with replacing the frame so he went to another LBS which was happy to help him out.

 

LBS with "issues" of swapping out the frame does not have this issue with Momsen only, so I think as a brand you are very safe regarding after sales service.

 

I'm sure CWC will give you excellent service on Momsens if you are willing to travel to CT, but it would not surprise me if your local LBS stocking Momsen will give you similar service.
