After his Giro and no w the Dauphine' i must say i am hugely impressed by Wilco. a truly massive talent for the future. all these young riders coming through can only be good for the sport.

Watched final 25km last night and what fantastic racing it was! Attack after attack and the pace was insane. Hope we see more of the same at the Tour.

 

Glance at the profile and it looks like a day for the sprinters but look more closely and the final 30km include some disruptive roads that promise a tense finish with several sharp climbs including a 15% wall with two kilometres to go.

Awesome solo attack by 'Berto

With Krueziger and a few more teammates, he'll be able to stay out of the wind a bit longer and attack the Skyborgs during TdF.

 

2nd win for Katusha - very impressive.

 

Nibs looking more settled ad even attacked in the final few kms.

 

Keldermann steady and solid for Belkin.

Stephan Denifl (IAM) quits the Dauphiné before the 20th kilometre of racing today.

 

Luca Wackermann (Lampre-Merida) abandons the Dauphiné.

 

Lieuwe Westra and Jan Bakelants were the two attackers who initiated this breakaway.

 

45.9 kilometres have been covered in the first hour of racing.

 

Latest time gap: 4.40 to the 16 breakaways at km 42

Teams missing in the front group are: Sky, Europcar, BMC, Katusha, FDJ.fr and Garmin-Sharp. But only Team Sky is present at the head of the peloton with seven riders.
