Cool

Now i can ride again during the week, after work, on a safe trail.

Should still be open till late, like before .... more or less a 24 hour venue ?

The only drawback  @ Hobby is the closing time (17:00) during the week.

Suggestion:-

when you guys are done riding there (time permitting) go have a coke or a beer or even a bite to show that Scrooge clown the difference it makes to his restaurant having Hero around.

Yes, you'll be giving him your hard earned Randelas to throw on his everest of gold coins and jewels,  but it'll highlight how important Hero is to him and Heia.

just a thought.

Hi guys,

How safe is it to ride this trail alone?

Safe as houses.

I've ridden alone numerous times. I suppose the only dangerous part could be if you get stuck without tools, at a quiet time, near some of those informal houses at the top of the yellow climb. But I'd say that on average it's safe enough to ride alone.

To my knowledge there has never been an incident at this park. Touch wood. Those people staying in the farm dwellings are salt of the earth. Kids always give you a wave and a wee cheer.

Did the Red route with some friends this past Saturday. Was great fun and a good workout for only a 20km ride!

Went to the restaurant afterwards and ordered 3 triple shot café Americanos. They were great until I got the bill! R20 bucks per shot for 3 cups = 9 shots = R180 for 3 decent cups of coffee! sho. live and learn!

The end of red is an awesome sting in the tail.

No bridge/ramp anymore but a very interesting end nonetheless!

I haven't been there since the beginning of December. Please do elaborate.

This was my first ride there but I was told there was a  bridge or ramp or something like that that left you with a drop-off into that tricky descent before the river crossing. the trail now just leads into the tricky descent without the ramp.

I hope that sort of explains it?
