Not even in the "off-topic" section, haha... there is so many things that factors in here, this thread should be deleted.

 

By computer is broken... please fix.... whats broken? I feel for all the IT/network/ computer/mac support out there

But some solid advice... google what happens/where the error occurs, and I bet you 1000+ people have had the same problem and one of them was nice enough to write a step by step guide how to fix it.

 

I have computers/laptops over 10years old, all running in the same condition as when I got them.... and I know very little about computers, but with the internet&google, anyone can fix a computer.

Are you trying to say that using google to discover how to repair something is foolish?

Google and usergroups/forums are where people, including technicians and engineers at the highest level, goto to access the group knowledge of the world at large. It's a resource open to anyone and combined with a little bit of common sense a DIY person can successfully repair some very complex equipment, obviously not least of all being computers themselves...
