I don?t think the idea ever was to compare climbers against sprinters; the comparison was made on a world scale performance Hunter versus George, and sorry mate in South-Africa George might be a big fish climber in a small pond but Hunter certainly proved he can sprint against the world?s best with results to back.

As for the Hill Climb record David has - It is only a few secounds faster ( 1 or 2 if my memory is correct) than Michael Andersons time.

 

 

 

BUT David did his time on a shorter course (about 200m) the hill climb use to start at the bottom parking and opposite the school!

After reading this thread, clearly there is no disputing David George talent as a cyclist.  But why then is he not able to get a ride on a european team and why did he leave barloworld?

 

Surely there must be plenty of teams that would want to sign him up based on his pedigree, yet they don't?

Becuase David George is one ASSHOLE..for example..at sign in on the first stage he probably just thought to himself his the cats bullocks and I was about to pick up the pen and from nowhere he comes from on his bike pushes my hand out the way the little sh*t and signs on and rides away without even once looking me in the eye..and just after that Hugo from BW was kind enough to come and to talk to myself and my teammates to wish us luck..with georges "I am king" attitude its easy to know why he isnt in any euro team..

I don't know him at all and will not even pretend to say i do but if that is the case, that certainly was not called for and won't win him many admirers.  I know that chunky rates him big time and always stands up for him, maybe he can aswer my question then?

Surely all the above mentioned teams could not be wrong in realeasing him of his contracts because he was not good enough, clearly he is.
