I replaced the plug on my Menabo Winny 3 from the italian style with the 7 pin converter to a normal 7 pin plug after I somehow forgot to plug the bugger in and it dragged on the tar.

Only question is the blue wires. These are the auxiliary wires for the reverse lights. Doesn't seem to work. However everything else is working.

Anybody know what this could be caused by?

It's an auxiliary wire , if you have a fridge in your caravan or any other 12volt things that need power whilst in tow.

Not needed for your standard venter or bike rack.

Don't think that trailers have revers lights?

A trailer plug? Now I've heard it all.

In CT the tikkoppe steal lightbulbs, but wtf would you need with a trailer plug?

Thanks. I dont recall if the old plug activated the reverse light or not. The aux was wired in differently to different pins.

As long as the lights work I'm happy. Used that exact diagram you posted to wire the new one. Saved me a couple of bucks to not have to have it done.

As far as I know no standard SA trailer plug is wired for reverse lights. You can connect your trailer's reverse lights up to that auxiliary pin but you will have to bring a reverse wire to the auxiliary pin on the female plug on the car for them to work.

Vark steaks dis swak. A plug is like R40 from Midas.

......but Midas is not a 24hr shop and can't compete with the "affirmative shopping" specials provided by MIDNIGHT SPARES......

Luckily it was only the socket and not the whole trailer........so it is actually a bargain for Vetseun......."Nkandla style".
