   oh my pressure is actually very low, i thought the main "trick" was to get the 2 click thing on adjustment, there must be a issue i am missing you simply dont "loose"40-60watts over a 3 week period

8 bar pappie....and eye of the tiger...praaaaaaaap

I need the secret! I'm the Old Man getting his ass kicked all the time. (I am playing my geriatric card)

Ok, so I put air and guess watt,,,,yip watts back up, so now my question is, how accurate is this machine, at first I measured against ROUXTJIE because we have rode a few times together, at first he was faster than me as it is in the real world,,and if I have to be 100% honest I think I was "faster" on the trainer than when rode together REAL WORLD RIDING (meaning on the trainer I was closer to him than I really am)

Then my power has been dropping dropping now I put air and BOOM "POWER" IS UP

so my chain of thought is,,,,,,,,how close are the readings, I was 98% sure before now

Mmmmmmmmm not so much , because as I said before my watts dropped to around 200 I put air, and boom back to around 240

I use the trainer because it's fun and to "play" with others it is a playfull competition but it's going to bug me now,

If I can jump 40 watts on tyre pressure, then the next guy can drop 40 watts

I suppose just stick to a certain pressure and work from there

I had my first ride back tonight. Whoozzie at 65% max. I must make a Rocky like return before the D2D. Also have both days of Sun City coming up. Sadly my IDT has a solid wheel...

Running at 7bar, my gage only goes to 6 then I squeeze 1 more out of it!

Guess I'll have to start looking for a 15 bar gage :)

hahah, i can see guys popping their tubes.

This interests me. I know the Tacx and the powerbeam are different animals, but heck they are both in the bus of power measurement and broadcasting so conceptually they must be inherently similar on some level. I just found the following info on the tacxtours.com site, which seems to have some bearing on what you have experienced.

---------------->>>>>>. " &Please note that the following manipulations (done on purpose or just by accident) are unfair and may higher your watts significantly (up to 50 watts or more):

 Calibration in cold conditions

 A much lower tire pressure the pressure at the time of calibration after a

long period without new calibration (eg. remember to pump the tire to 7

bars before every training)

 Setting a wrong body weight

 Loosen the brake tension after calibration by manually turning the

adjustment screw without recalibrating"

 Calibration in cold conditions. I ALWAYS WARM UP AT LEAST 30 min

 A much lower tire pressure the pressure at the time of calibration after a

long period without new calibration (eg. remember to pump the tire to 7

bars before every training) I HAVE BEEN RUNNING MUCH MUCH LOWER

 Setting a wrong body weight. NOPE MINE IS SET ON BUFFALO :(

 Loosen the brake tension after calibration by manually turning the

adjustment screw without recalibrating" THE POWERBEAM HAS A EASY 2 click ADJUSTER

I THINK MY PROBLEM THE LAST FEW DAYS WAS UNDER INFLATION

I THINK MY PROBLEM THE LAST FEW DAYS WAS UNDER INFLATION

Yeah, i get that. The point is that tire pressure (whether under or over inflation) has a direct and emphatic affect on power output. Something, i never thought about.
