Peoples ability to put two and two together, does not make your statement that people should not use dead peoples names any less hypocritical. As stated some people here have put two and two together and know who this The Idol dude is.... doesn't make it any less "wrong". And please do not see someone pointing out a bit of hypocrisy in a post as an attack. Its just funny that someone is passionately moaning at someone for doing something, whilst they are doing it too. Just take a chill pill and do not take life so seriously the only people winning here are the trolls as you get upset and that's what they want, and Emma because it seems Els is setting up a debit order for her at the rate he is going with litigation threats.

not that i agree with impersonating a dead person at all. But once you're dead, you're no longer a legal entity - you dont exist. So while i agree with the above on parodying someone still living, i'm not sure if it will actually stick.

Unfortunately these trolls are racking up enough slander to really impact peoples livelihood .

 

 

This point is actually quite interesting.

 

I've been contacted privately by a number of younger cyclists (yes, they're still newbies - they haven't done it for 10+years yet), and they said they are so glad that someone is giving the mafia stick.

 

The younger guys are bullied, told to shut up etc. Unfortunately their livelihood is also at stake if they say anything.

 

Then there's the fact the the elites coming up refuse to race dirty, and in doing so disadvantage themselves because its a lot harder to perform. However - bio passport is sorting all that out. You will see a LOT of the old guard have stopped performing, and will just fade into obscurity while the new (clean) generation comes up and takes over
