marko35s Posted June 28, 2014 Share Dont think this is all tik driven. People dont have jobs and some are just lazy. There is a market for these bikes and they know what to go for. Have not seen one cheap bike on The Hub that's been stolen. They had a bloody good go at stealing my cheap bike, sometimes it's opportunistic, you just have to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. And those stats posted by Capricorn are horrific to say the least. But it underscores the need for the public to always be vigilant and take proper care of themselves and their belongings at all times and under all circumstances. The increase in bicycle crime is no sudden origin: it's just an extension of an already massive problem engulfing the western cape. Bikes are meals and 'fixes' on wheels.
