Those that are doing it are in for one of the best rides of your life, bar that crappy portage and you're getting spoilt with extras!! My tent mate and I won the pimped tents last year so not sure if we'll ever be able to top that!

Cycle Fan Posted October 29, 2014 Posted October 29, 2014 There is lunch served in the dining marquee pretty much all day. The reason being is that riders are finishing all the time. This is lunch food and snack good. Rolls, cold mears, salads and other things. Be advised that the food is done by food lovers market so it is good and seems like lots of it too. Last year it was excellent. I take it it will be more of the same this year. Take money though. There is loads of little stalks around to buy stuff as well. Thanks for the info Copperhead!

Its not certain yet, but I'll have to start making contingency plans.Does anyone know someone that might be interested in doing the Ride (Monday-Wednesday) on short notice? I'm not a racing snake, but trained hard enough to aim for a sub 5hr day 1. However, I'm more than happy to do it much slower too.I know its a tough one, as we might only know on Saturday whether he can make it (but we may also know sooner than that). Tent for riders basically open all the time. It is easy to pick up weight during the race.
